Tim Stafford Surfboards

Mostly bonzer inspired creations, made in Cornwall. Designed, shaped, glassed, sanded, finned and finished by Tim Stafford.

I make boards that are easy to ride, that feel natural under foot. Most aren't conventional but they will help you reach that point where you stop thinking about what's under your feet and start to focus on where you want to go and how you want to get there. Why bonzers?

Always happy to chat about your needs and what would work for you but please initiate contact by email or Facebook... details on www.timstaffordsurfboards.com | Ride and glide.

Gone surfing...

Gone surfing!!!! Unfortunately the boast doesn't have wifi so it looks like my idea of daily posts from afar will be out of the question. Also please understand that i wont be able to respond to orders and enquiries until i get back (end of March).

Pic below is my new quiver and Ant's two cleanlines just before packing for the Mentawais. Looking like 5ft at 17 seconds on our first day. Hope the surf is good for all whilst we are away. Cheers, Tim

“Frosties” for breakfast

Last Friday Ant, John and myself ventured to “Frosties” for a first light dawny – bloody cold but loads of fun and surprise surprise we were the only ones there! It was –3 degrees air temp and frost on the INSIDE of the van windscreen. Ant and Jon were being right girlies to start with but after a little encouragement and the odd set coming through enthusiasm was restored…

EVO5 bonzer 6’8” Cleanline woody…

A new test from myself and Mark at Glass Tiger . It’s a 6’8” x 20 1/4” x 2 5/8” Cleanline EVO5 with oak parabolic rails, epoxy 6oz bottom and a wood/epoxy 4oz sandwich deck. We aiming to achieve a superlight wood option with a more traditional flex pattern.

Big thanks to Mark, Jason, Daz and Nigel for pushing this one through in time for the Mentwais trip, leaving this Thursday. Right now Daz is getting the FCS plugs in and fighting against the clock to have it hard enough to flip over, do the valve, the fin box + drill through, and then sand it before I go.

Stripy tints

Been playing with 3/4 width free-lap resin tint stripes recently. Here’s my new Riddler for Mentawais with its own personal version in army green with a little ink-work highlights…P1050385
